OptiCut cutting machine on everyone’s lips

The OptiCut cutting machine stamp is a part of a series dedicated to Icelandic industrial design, released by the Icelandic Post.

It’s safe to say that Marel’s OptiCut cutting machine will be flying high in the months and years to come.  A picture of this marvelous machine graces a new stamp, part of a series dedicated to Icelandic industrial design, released by the Icelandic Post on 8 May.

The OptiCut is in good company as each of the four stamps in the series celebrates a piece of equipment that has been recognized both home and abroad for excellence in design.   Included are Össur’s Proprio prosthetic foot, the world’s first “intelligent foot module”; the WISH fly fishing wheel, designed and produced by Fossadal; and the Gavia autonomous underwater vehicle, designed by Hafmynd hf.

The stamps are designed by Örn Smári Gíslason.
